A 2024 Recap - Professional and Personal Blessings

A December 2024 Recap reminds me of blessings, both professionally and personally, and I am thankful for all the encouragement and fellowship along the way.
Community
My youngest son came alongside the amazing members of my treasured Green Hills Civitan Club as we visited the residents of Mur-Ci Homes. We sang Christmas Carols and delivered presents to the residents there, and they communicated such love and joy through their genuine smiles. We deeply admire the staff who care for the residents daily, and we were honored to celebrate the season with them.
We also joined in the festivities at the Annual Hospital Hospitality House Christmas Luncheon, supporting them as Civitans, and celebrating their great achievements of 2024, in serving families of patients in area hospitals, as well as their 50th anniversary!
Clients
The end of each year brings a sense of responsibility to many people, and completing Wills and related documents is often a box to check on those to-do lists. I was happy to work with numerous individuals, couples and families to draft documents that bring a sense of accomplishment and provision to their lives. One client’s quote particularly touched my heart, easily reminding me why I love what I do: “Robert, you have made what seemed like too difficult of a task quite easy and enjoyable, and we appreciate you for the relief that we feel now. You have put our minds at ease, and we thank you.” I will remember those words with every client, from now on!
Family
Our two college kids returned home from school for the holidays, and our family of five spent a quiet Christmas together, all safe and sound under one roof. There were games and movies, meals around the table, old and new memories, a night of Nashville’s finest line-dancing, Christmas Eve by Candlelight, New Year’s Eve fireworks from a high spot outside the city, some unplanned adventures and some future plans discussed. And yes, when they returned to their respective schools, we sent pieces of our hearts along with them.
2025
And now, a New Year has arrived, fully fresh with potential, already marked with worldwide events, the beautiful and the tragic. I hope that I can bring positivity to the table as I make professional choices, as I guide my clients, as I lead my family, as I move through the great city of Nashville. If we cross paths - and I hope that we do - I hope that I can bring a smile to your face.
